The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday announced its Chief Minister candidate for the Punjab Assembly Election 2022. The CM face of AAP in Punjab will be Bhagwant Mann. Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi and National Convener of AAP, made this announcement. Bhagwant Mann is the AAP’s Punjab unit chief as well as an AAP MP from Sangrur Lok Sabha seat. Bhagwant Mann is the most popular leader of Aam Aadmi Party’s Punjab unit.
Bhagwant Mann has got more than 93 percent votes.
Last week, appealing to the people of Punjab to name their favorite candidate for the post of Chief Minister, Kejriwal had issued a mobile number. Kejriwal told reporters today that Bhagwant Mann has got more than 93 percent votes through phone and WhatsApp.
Arvind Kejriwal said that three percent votes have come in the name of Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidh. He said that some votes have also come in my favor, which have declared illegal.
AAP convener Kejriwal said, “It has become clear that the Aam Aadmi Party will win the Punjab elections. In a way, the person chosen as the chief ministerial candidate will be the next chief minister of Punjab.”
Aam Aadmi Party leader Raghav Chadha said that for the first time in the history of independent India, it is going to happen that who is the CM candidate of a party, it has chosen by the people. More than 21 lakh people have joined this campaign and expressed their opinion.
