BJP MLA Kuldeep Sengar convicted in Unnao rape and kidnapping case

In Unnao rape case, Tis Hazari court of Delhi has convicted BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar. The court acquitted the co-accused woman, Shashi Singh. Shashi Singh took the victim to Kuldeep Sengar on the pretext of getting a job, after which Sanger raped the victim. The debate on this case will be held on 17 December.

This Hazari Court has also reprimanded the investigating agency CBI. The court said that to save the life of the victim, the case was registered late. The court noted that we understand the pain of the victim’s mind. The court said that why did the CBI spend a year in the gang-rape case.

Convicted in these sections: Tis Hazari Court granted MLA Kuldeep Sengar Section 120B (criminal conspiracy), 363 (kidnapping), 366 (kidnapping or harassing a woman to force marriage), 376 (rape and other related sections) and is convicted under POCSO.

What is the matter?

In June 2017, the victim was abducted and raped by Kuldeep Singh Sengar. During this time she was a minor. Sengar, a four-time MLA from Bangarmau in UP, was expelled from the BJP in August 2019. The next day after the victim’s kidnapping case was filed, she was freed from Auraiya district in UP. Later, the girl had recorded a statement that after being kidnapped, she was kept in a house in Kanpur and there she was gang-raped. He was subsequently sold.

MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar and others were also prosecuted in the rape case from the victim. The CBI had already filed a charge sheet against Kuldeep Singh sengar and Shashi Singh under sections 120B, 363, 366, 376 and 506. The CBI had previously recorded the charge sheet. The CBI filed the second charge sheet against five accused Atul Singh Sengar, Vineet Sonu, Shashi Singh, which also has a case of murder.
