To liven up a Christmas party, we add music, dialogue, dancing lights, drinking and a variety of other elements. But how can you make it even more awesome? You guessed correctly. Games that include drinking! That’s how it works! So here are ten drinking games that brighten up any gathering:
- Never Have I Ever
Never Have I Ever is a fun game to play if you want to learn about your friends’ secrets. You must share something you have never done before, and those who have will take a sip from their beverage. When I say, “I’ve never been arrested,” for example, everyone in the group who has been arrested will get a drink. The goal is to get your pals to confess they’re embarrassing stories, so be careful what you say!
This is a quick and simple game to play when folks start to fall asleep! All you have to do is gather around a table and choose a hand move. You might choose a victory sign or let your imagination go wild (or nasty if you like). The game begins when everyone thumps at the table. While the others continue to thump, you begin your hand action and then perform someone else’s.
Now, the person who performed the hand motion repeats it, as does the person whose turn he wants next. Anyone who makes a mistake or takes too long to react gets a drink. You could build a sound for everyone and do the action AND the sound to make the game more fun. Is that clear?
- Straight Face
It’s difficult to keep a straight face when you’re inebriated, and this game tests that ability. You scribble hilarious or offensive sentences on small pieces of paper that are difficult to read while maintaining a straight face. Each participant takes a piece of paper and tries to maintain a neutral expression. Anyone who laughs or responds is required to drink!

- Flip Cup
Flip Cup is a fun way to start a house party. Two teams are competing against one another. Both teams take positions on opposing sides of the table, with their cups resting on the table’s edge. Before the next member begins, everyone must complete their drink and turn the cup upside-down with their fingers. The team that completes this task first wins.
- Most Likely
In a circle, the group asks a most likely’ question. “Who would be most likely to fart in front of strangers?” for example. After three counts, everyone points to the individual they believe is most likely to do so. The individual who gets the most fingers pointing at them consumes the most beverages.
