Recent upsurge in Corona virus cases in Maharashtra, Punjab
Corona cases update On Tuesday, 28,699 cases of corona were report in Maharashtra and there were 132 deaths. While 2274 corona cases found in Punjab and 58 deaths were report.
The central government has expressed serious concern over the recent surge in cases of corona virus in Maharashtra and Punjab. The Union Health Ministry said that we are eyeing the increasing scope of corona in the states as the second wave of infection. Corona cases in four states are increasing rapidly in other states as well. These include Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The Health Ministry has said that there are two other states or union territories, where Corona is growing, they are Chhattisgarh and Chandigarh. The Ministry of Health gave this information during regular press talks on Wednesday. Actually, the corona havoc in India is constantly increasing again. Where 47,262 new cases of corona virus were report in a single day, which is the highest number of cases report in a single day of infection this year.
Cases of this epidemic in the country have increased to 1,17,34,058. At the same time, a completely different variant of Corona has found in Maharashtra. E484Q and L452R variants were found in Maharashtra. In Maharashtra, new variants have found in 15% to 20% samples.

Genome sequencing of 401 samples of Corona that were recently report in Punjab was done, out of which 81% of the samples found to of B117 virus.

It was believe that a dual mutant variant of corona virus has been found in 18 states. One of these variants has also found in Maharashtra, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Cases of Britain, South Africa and Brazil variants have been found in these states. Of these, 736 cases of UK strains have found in the examination of about 11 thousand samples.
The Ministry said that 34 cases of South African variants
However, the Ministry said that 34 cases of South African variants and one case of Brazilian strain have been found. So it is difficult to prove that it has anything to do with the rise of corona virus cases in some states.
