Due to the rain for the last 48 hours, there are scenes of devastation in Dehradun. The Dehradun-Rishikesh bridge collapsed near Rani Pokhari due to heavy rains. After which many vehicles were damage. At the same time, due to incessant rains, the Maldevta-Sahasradhara link road got absorb in the river for several meters. This incident is from Kheri village. Due to heavy rain here, the road got cut and the whole road was wash away in water. There are also reports of two vehicles flowing here. Rescue operation is on.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain. Heavy rain warning has issued in 5 districts of Uttarakhand. These districts include Nainital, Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh. The Meteorological Department had already issued an alert of heavy rain in Uttarakhand.

The department had issued a red alert in many districts. Earlier on Wednesday also, rivers and streams were flood due to cloudburst near Satla Devi temple in Khabrala village on the outskirts of the city in Uttarakhand.

No person was harm in this incident.

State disaster management officials said on Wednesday that after a cloudburst late Tuesday night, flood water entered homes, uprooted electric poles and trees at many places and washed away two-wheelers. However, no person was harmed in this incident.

A cloudburst has caused huge destruction in Joshi village of Baluwakot in Pithoragarh district. There is news of a woman being buried in the debris cause by the cloudburst. Rescue operation is being conduct by the local people as well as SDRF and NDRF to find the woman.

At the same time, JCB machines are also working to remove the debris. Due to this landslide, 10 families of the village have threatened, which have shifted to safer places by the administration. The fertile fields of the village have also suffered heavy damage due to landslides.

Minimum temperature below normal in Delhi

It was a humid morning in the national capital on Friday with the minimum temperature at 25.4 degrees Celsius, a notch below normal. According to the Meteorological Department, the humidity level in the air was 68 percent at 8.30 am and it was cloudy.

The department has forecast partly cloudy day with the maximum temperature hovering around 36 degrees Celsius. Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 35.2 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 26.6 degrees Celsius on Thursday.
