Hollywood actor John Cusack condemns attack on Delhi students

In the wake of Delhi Police attack on students of Jamia Millia Islamia University, civilians, opposition parties and some celebrities condemned it on social media for allegedly dropping more than 40 injured.

While stars like Akshay Kumar, Rajkumar Rao, Taapsee Pannu, Swara Bhaskar and Anurag Kashyap came out in support of some other students, Many questioned the silence of Bollywood veterans, including Shah Rukh Khan, who was an alumnus of the college, on social media.

Interestingly, this time when many people questioned the silence of B-town stars, So has Hollywood actor John Cusack, known for the blockbuster disaster film ‘2012’, airing his social media timeline with several tweets about the events in Delhi.

John Cusack wrote in a tweet, “The report from Delhi is that it was a war zone last night – fascism is no joke – we use the term with this understanding.”

John Cusack also shared videos of the attacks that were captioned, “Videos from the attacks.”

Several opposition political parties on Monday condemned police brutality against the students and demanded a judicial inquiry into the incidents.

It is alleged that Delhi Police entered the Jamia Millia Islamia University, where protests were going on against the revised Citizenship Act of a student, and allegedly fired tear gas and resorted to lathi-charge to break up an outcry, injuring several people.
