New Delhi: The third session of the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) has been postponed because of the current COVID-19 situation in the country, which was announced today by Union Education Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank did it.
This session was originally scheduled to be held from 27 April to 30 April.
Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that the revised dates for JEE (Main) would be announced 15 days before the exam.
Some of the leading engineering institutes in the country accept entrance exam scores, including IIT and NIT.

According to an official order of the National Testing Agency (NTA), “Because of the current state of the COVID-19 pandemic and keeping in mind the safety and well-being of the candidates and examination officials, it has been decided to postpone the EEE- (Main) April session “.
The order stated, “The revised dates will be announced later and at least 15 days before the examination.”
Earlier, Class 10 board exams have been cancelled, and Class 12 exams have been postponed due to a nationwide COVID hike that led to calls for government reconsideration by parents, students, politicians and various states.
India saw the deadliest day of the epidemic, as 1,501 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours. The country also recorded the largest daily spurt in cases with 2,61,500 infections, taking Casloid to 1.47 crore total cases.
This is the fourth straight day when more than 2 lakh cases have been registered. More than 1.2 million cases have been added to Casalod in the past week.
