Actor Paresh Rawal will reprise his character of Babu bhaiyya in Hera Pheri 3 which is due to begin filming in three months. He also revealed that the film will be shot in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Los Angeles as the film’s characters go global.
Paresh Rawal reunited with Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty earlier this week for a special announcement promo for Hera Pheri 3. After being stuck for several years, the third film in the comedy franchise is finally being made. The actor, who will reprise his role as Babu bhaiyya, revealed that production will begin in three months. This year, the characters in the film will travel to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Los Angeles, California. Hera Pheri 3 will be directed by Farhad Samji.
Kartik Aaryan, who supposed to join the franchise, will not appear in the film, according to the actor. In the year 2000, Paresh, Akshay Kumar, and Suniel debuted as Babu, Raju, and Shyam. The Hindi film, directed by Priyadarshan, was a remake of the Malayalam film Ramji Rao Speaking (1989). Tabu and Om Puri also original cast members; a sequel, Phir Hera Pheri, written and directed by Neeraj Vora, released in 2006.

In an interview, Paresh said of reuniting with Akshay and Suniel Shetty, “Meeting them felt like ghar wapsi” (returning home). It’s always a pleasure to work with Akshay and Suniel. They accomplished actors who are not self-conscious about their work. We have a mutual admiration. Our on-screen chemistry reflects our off-screen friendship.”
He added, “We’ll begin shooting in three months. It will be a [long] schedule in Mumbai. The movie will also shot in international locations like Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Los Angeles, as Babu bhaiyya, Raju and Shyam go abroad. They’ll do hera pheri globally.” The veteran actor also went on to say that initially, “both Kartik and Akshay were to do the film, but it didn’t work out. I don’t know what happened.”
