Centers are also being built in Delhi to get this vaccine (Covaxin) for children. At present, these centers are being built by private labs and hospitals. In one such center built in Tilak Nagar area, many arrangements have made to remove the fear of vaccine from the minds of children.
Comic Heroes’ photos being put up
Photos of comic heroes like Motu-Patlu, Superman are being install in these vaccine centers. Along with this, small toys and swings are also being arrange in the center for the enjoyment of the children. So that the children coming there can feel comfortable.
First vaccine for children in the country
This is the first corona vaccine, Covaxin, approved in India for children aged 2 to 18 years. Bharat Biotech completed the trials of Corona Vaccine on children in September. In those trials, the drug proved to be about 78 percent effective.
Children will get 2 doses of vaccine.
The company on Saturday submitted additional data related to this drug to the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI). After this, the Subject Expert Committee i.e. SEC met on Tuesday and Wednesday. In which children from 2 to 18 years were allow to apply Covaxin. Children will also given two doses of Covaxin.
Vaccination going on in full swing in the country.
Earlier, Zydus Cadila’s vaccine Zaycov-D has also received emergency approval from the government. This vaccine will administered to adolescents aged 12 to 18 years. It is believe that from the end of this month or the first week of November, the vaccination of children can start in the country. For this, the government is preparing Standard Operation Procedure (SOP).
