Actor Ram Charan shared that he would love to perform the RRR song Naatu Naatu at the upcoming Oscars ceremony next month. While he said the choreography was difficult, he and co-star Jr NTR would be happy to entertain the audience.
Ram Charan, who is currently in the United States with director SS Rajamouli, has expressed a desire to perform the RRR song Naatu Naatu at the Oscars ceremony on March 12, 2023. The Telugu song, written by Chandrabose and composed by MM Keeravaani, has been nominated for Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards. It is up against songs by Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and songwriter Diane Warren.
Rihanna’s Oscar-nominated song Lift Me from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was recently confirmed by the Academy. On Friday, it was announced that Sofia Carson would be performing the other nominated song, Applause from the film Tell It Like a Woman, alongside Diane. On the Best in Show podcast, Academy CEO Bill Kramer stated that he was working to ensure that the Best Original Song performers would be up on stage during the live awards show.

“We would love to do ‘Naatu Naatu’ anywhere that we are appreciated, but not every place accommodates us to perform,” Ram said on the cinephile social platform Letterboxd. But why not, if we’re at the Oscars and there’s a request and time? We will gladly entertain our audience, who has given us so much. Ram and his co-star Jr NTR dazzle a mostly British audience with their dancing abilities in the film. Naatu Naatu previously won Best Original Song at the 80th Golden Globe Awards. Prem Rakshith choreographed the song, which was shot in Ukraine at the Mariinsky Palace (Ukraine Presidential Palace) in Kyiv.
The RRR team is expected to attend the Oscars ceremony next month and walk the red carpet. On Friday, RRR picked four awards at the Hollywood Critics Association Film Awards, including Best Original song.
