The 1971 war between India and Pakistan is a mine of stories for Bollywood filmmakers. Many films have come out on the background of this war and this series is going on. Now Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan Khatter will be seen in a story set out of the 1971 war. The name of the film is Pippa, whose first look was released on Wednesday and along with it was announced the start of shooting.
The first schedule of the Ishaan Khatter starrer film has started in Amritsar. The first look of the film has shared by Ishaan Khatter on social media. In which Ishaan is seen climbing on a tank. Pippa has written the tagline 1971: A Nation Comes of Age with the title.
The first schedule of shooting is going on in Amritsar. The shooting started with a clap by Brigadier Mehta himself, played by Ishaan. Pippa is being directed by Raja Krishna Menon and produced by RSVP and Roy Kapur.

Pippa is the first such action-packed war film, which is based on the book ‘The Burning Chaffees’ by veteran military Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta. The music of the film has composed by AR Rahman. In ‘Pippa’, Ishaan Khatter will be seen as Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta, who was part of the 45th Cavalry Tank Squadron.
He along with his siblings fought from the east during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. Bangladesh was born after this war. The film centers on the popular War Tank, affectionately called ‘Pippa’. Pippa is called an empty box of ghee.
