Today (Friday) US President Joe Biden and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met before the Quad Summit 2021 to be held for the first time at the White House. During this, both the leaders emphasized on further strengthening the relationship and helping each other.
US President Joe Biden tweeted just before the meeting.
‘I am hosting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the White House for a bilateral meeting. I look forward to strengthening the deep ties between the two countries, maintaining a free and open Indo-Pacific and tackling everything from COVID-19 to climate change.
During the meeting at the White House, PM Modi told Biden-
“In 2016 I had a chance to talk to you in detail and at that time you told your vision for India-US relations, it was really inspiring and today as President you are making efforts to carry forward that vision. I welcome him trying. PM Modi said, India and America can do a lot of service to humanity through technology. Trade between India and America is of great importance.
